H1 Mount for Large or Custom Aquariums

This mount is recommended instead of the H1 Clamp in any of the following applications:

• Standard rim aquariums exceeding 50 gallons
• Aquariums with rims greater than 1" (25.4mm) wide
• Aquariums with rims that extend down from the top of the aquarium more than 1.5" (38.1mm)
• Aquariums with rims that extend greater than 15/32" (12.0mm) from the inside glass surface.
• Aquariums with glass greater than 3/4" (19mm) thick

Note 1: The top slide can be used alone for custom mounting solutions using M4 or #8 screws. Please see the DRAWING for the hole pattern.

Note 2: The H1 clip is sold separately, but one H1 clip comes with every H1 so you may already have one.

Instructions for use:

1. Insert the H1 clip into the top slide as shown in the product photos
2. Extend the top slide so that the H1 will clear the rim of the tank when installed
3. With the top slide resting on the rim of the tank, press the suction cups firmly against the glass on the outside of the tank while supporting the tank wall with your other hand from the inside.
4. Slide the rim thickness adjuster slider downwards until the rim thickness adjuster arm touches the rim of the tank (this prevents the mount from tilting towards the tank and helps keep the H1 closer to vertical.)
5. Install the H1 as normal, adjusting the position of the H1 vertically in the H1 clip until the top water mark on the H1 is at your desired "full" water level. See the H1 User Manual for more detail.
